Looks great, but performance is hit-or-miss.

A common issue I’ve run into is games failing to load — and this happens with both authentic and reproduction cartridges. The fix is usually to pull the game out and reinsert it, sometimes more than once.

The same problem affects the audio. Occasionally, I get no sound at all, even with the volume slider all the way up. Oddly enough, re-seating the cartridge seems to resolve that too. Furthermore, the volume slider tends to crackle or glitch when moving it up — it works more reliably when sliding down.

On the plus side, the screen is fantastic. It gets bright enough to kill reflections from ambient light, which makes it perfect for outdoor or well-lit play. My only gripe is the brightness control — it’s hard to tell which level you're on, and there appear to be around 15 steps, which feels excessive without any on-screen indicator.
