You probably remember where you were the first time you flipped one of these open. The Rayquaza Edition is a real Game Boy Advance SP — genuine Nintendo hardware, restored by hand in Brisbane and fitted with a modern IPS display, so the games you remember finally look the way you remember them.

The upgrade

The screen is the whole point

The original SP screen was the compromise of its era — dim, washed out, and forever angled toward the nearest lamp. We replace it with a V5 IPS panel: brighter, sharper, with the colour depth Emerald’s spritework was drawn for but never got to show. Adjustable brightness, and it holds up in daylight.

Everything behind it is original. This is not a clone shell or an emulator in a retro case — it is the console you had, looked after properly.

Every console is stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and tested by hand in Brisbane before it ships. We work in small batches because the alternative is shipping something we haven’t personally checked, and on twenty-year-old hardware that difference is everything.

The same person who builds your console handles it if something goes wrong — which is what the 100-day warranty actually means in practice.
